What You Need To Know About Twin Strollers

Strollers are very convenient to tale along especially if the child you have is a bit on the heavy side. All you have to do is push the stroller while the child is sleeping, eating or sitting. There are many different kinds of strollers and all these strollers have different purposes and features that make some unique from others.

Twin Stroller for Your Kids

A twin stroller is used for two children and may come in tandem or side by side. Whichever the parents choose depend on their preference. A side by side twin stroller is a seat which is placed together and the children sit side by side. Both seats have the same features and materials used are often sturdy and washable.

A twin stroller must be durable to accommodate the weight of both children. The wheels must be free and easy to swivel since a side by side stroller is bulky and occupies more space than the ordinary single seat stroller. Other things to consider when buying a twin stroller are the storage space and the reclining positions of the seats and footrests.

A canopy per seat would also be very convenient especially when out walking in the sun or the rain. Some of the twin strollers for sale come with a waterproof covering to cover the stroller during heavier rains. A twin stroller may also be very bulky to fold and store. It is best to stick to the lightweight aluminum frames when buying a twin stroller because you need the lesser weight.

The other kind of multiple birth stroller is the tandem stroller. This kind of twin stroller seat the kids front to back so they are in a straight line. The disadvantage I can immediately see in this stroller is that the second child seated at the back will not be able to view things properly. Of course, this is all dependent on the preference of the parents. This kind of twin stroller is easier to maneuver than the side by side one and can also fit in the smaller aisle and doors.

Basically, the side by side and tandem stroller has the same pros and cons except for the view. The tandem offers limited view for the child in the rear. Both strollers are bulky to fold and store and it is better to get the lightweight aluminum ones for easier carrying. It is also best to bear in mind that most twin strollers need bigger storage space in the car or SUV. A twin stroller always cost more than the ordinary stroller.
